Kaleido is a home screen for Android. Your wallpaper is folded through mirrored segments and drawn pixel by pixel by a shader - the background is your own image seen through a kaleidoscope, drifting slowly and turning as you swipe between pages.

The theme takes its colours from that same image, so icons, dock and menus stay in tune with what you are looking at. Everything else is adjustable: palettes, fonts, corner radius, icon packs, dock styles, gestures, and rose-window widgets for clock, battery, calendar and most-used apps.

A T9 keypad searches apps, contacts and system settings from a single field. Contacts are read only if you grant the permission, and only to show the results you are typing.

Settings, home layout and widgets can be backed up to your own Google Drive, in the app-private folder, or exported to a JSON file you keep yourself. No account is needed to use the launcher, and nothing is sent anywhere else.
